چکیده

The generalized degree of polarimetric purity is a vital descriptor widely studied and interpreted for electromagnetic wave characterization. It invariant under the rotation reference frame. In this work, we first propose an alternate expression measure using mean $(m)$ standard deviation notation="LaTeX">$(s)$ real positive eigenvalues Hermitian semidefinite matrix. We then use to scattering complexity measure. To obtain these expressions, certain inequalities on bounds condition number definite matrices defined in terms notation="LaTeX">$m$ notation="LaTeX">$s$ . parameter characterizes overall polarization structure scattered wave. contrast, describes mixture orthogonal polarized pure components First, demonstrate two proposed measures by analyzing cases: 1) multiple 2) canonical targets. Then, utilize full-polarimetric C- L-band synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data describe variation over various land cover classes. compare their spatial variations ocean surface, built-up areas, vegetation. observe notable contrasts parameters diverse targets scene. Finally, critically interpret temporal scene rice crop acquired C-band SAR data. Electric Field Ratio Formalism in Radar Polarimetry

Much scientific effort has been put to develop the foundations and applications of radar polarimetry. In this paper, a not so often used definition for the polarization will be reintroduced and its utilization explained. It will be shown, that the Electric Field Ratio representation is not only simple, but substantially better definition for polarization than the commonly used Polarization Elli...
